Marc De Ceuster
Biography
- Born in Brecht (Belgium) on 1 December 1962
- Holds a PhD in Applied Economics and a Master’s Degree in Law.
- Career: He is Professor of Financial Economics at the University of Antwerp. He lectures in the areas of Financial Economics, Derivative Financial Products and Risk Management and has written for several international journals. From 2001 to 2005, he was part-time Director of Risk Management at Deloitte before serving on the policy committee of the University of Antwerp Management School until 2008. From 2009 to 2015, he represented the Flemish Regional Government in the capacity of an observer on the Board of Directors and then as a director of KBC Group (and a member of the Audit Committee and Risk & Compliance Committee). From 2018 to 2019, he was an independent director of Arkea Direct Bank. At the end of 2019, he joined the Board of Directors of Almancora Beheersmaatschappij as an independent director, where he was first Chairman of the Audit Committee before becoming Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Remuneration Committee and the Nomination Committee.
